Dark Crystal/Labyrinth: A tribute to our creative roots! I was ten years old in 1983 when Jim Henson's "The Dark Crystal" was released and to this date it remains perhaps the greatest influence in my life as an artist and creator of interactive effigies. Whether directly or indirectly, the fantastic details of Brian Froud's illustrative designs can be witnessed in much of the work displayed here, not to mention the inspiring genius behind Jim Henson's Creature Shop. It is with no small amount of professional awe, therefore, that Sara and I give separate consideration to our own humble attempts in recreating their worlds as tribute. Kudos!
