Meet Rivett — handcrafted robot, accidental optimist, and the most earnest little machine you'll ever meet. He was built for something practical, probably. Nobody quite remembers what. But somewhere between the wiring and the clay and the careful placement of each articulated limb, something else crept in: a personality. Warm, unhurried, and entirely his own.

Rivett doesn't rush. He considers things. He tilts his head at sparrows and stands very still in the rain because he finds it interesting. He has strong opinions about the correct way to stack things and will absolutely help you move furniture if you ask nicely. He is, in every meaningful sense, a good egg — despite not being an egg, or organic, or technically capable of opinions. Details.

Handcrafted from stoneware clay and upcycled materials, Rivett is a one-of-a-kind piece from The Squeaking Tribe's Contemporary Curiosities collection — a range for characters that don't quite fit anywhere else, and are all the better for it. His form is compact and considered, his finish textured and tactile, and his expression carries that particular quality of someone who is genuinely pleased to be here.
