She is the second of three. The one who arrives with a smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes — not from cruelty, but because she is already thinking three wishes ahead of you. She has seen what people truly want beneath what they ask for, and she finds it fascinating.

Elodie does not break curses. She negotiates with them. And when she takes your hand and leads you toward the thing you’ve been afraid to want, you will notice — just briefly — the thorns woven through her hair, catching the light like tiny crowns.
